Racial Profiling

Good Morning!

NOTE:  Bring canned goods, and you will receive extra credit.  I do not normally give extra credit for non-academic reasons, but I am making an exception in this case!

1.  Independent Reading -- Please read your independent reading book for 10 minutes.

2.  "Jim Crow Policing"  --  Yesterday we read this article together and annotated.  We read the entire article except for period 7 because some individuals feel the need to give their opinion before they fully understand what they have read.  In this ERWC course, an objective is to fully understand the text through rhetorical reading strategies before we become part of the discussion . . . . before you question the text.  Otherwise, no one is going to listen to what you have to say.

3.  Complete Activity #7 in your WRITER'S JOURNAL and on your copy of the text.
