Period 4:  Federal Survey Cards 

1.  Independent Reading --  Please read for 10 minutes.

 2.  Personal Essay --  I am currently working on these essays.  Those essays that are under 500 words will not be graded.  An essay that requires major revision because of writing errors will not be graded.  I will not look at an essay if it does not have the proper heading.  I will indicate on your essay if it is graded or not.  I am still working on Period 2.

3. "Three Ways to Persuade" -- Yesterday you reinforced your understanding of this text by going back and annotating.  Annotate for MAIN IDEAS vs. random, minor details.  I did not indicate that you should answer the questions that follow the discussion of PATHOS, but I would like you to do so today.

4.  Activity #3 Exploring the Concept of "Persuasion" -- we will discuss orally

5.  "A Change of Heart About Animals"  -- Surveying the text (orally discussed)

 6.  Activity #5 Making Predictions and Asking Questions
