Please get your assigned netbook when you arrive.

1.  Independent Reading -- By the end of the week select your reading for the second six weeks.  Make your selection of a new independent reading book and bring it to class each day.  Please take this requirement seriously and have deep respect for your learning by doing so.  

2.  Personal Essay -- With a partner read each others' essays. Read for content and for effective writing.  Read carefully for errors.  At the bottom of the essay, give the word count and the name of your peer editor.  Your carefully edited and final draft of your essay is due tomorrow. Be sure to entitle your essay and place your name as follows at the upper left:
